It’s time for the weekly development update. I have to tell you something, but you have to promise, this stays between us!
I believe, everything is connected! Look at our featured image. You can see a Chinese localization of the Blown Away menu screen. But why? Let’s look at some facts: China is a country. People in China want to play games. Blown Away is a game. Black Pants makes games. Black Pants has 2 offices. Blown away will be game number 3 from Black Pants. 23!
This is a logo. It’s in Chinese. Tobi has been working on assets for a Chinese localization. It’s the 2nd picture in this blog. We will release Blown Away on iOS and Android. Those are 2 mobile platforms, but the Chinese mobile market does not work like we are used to in the west. So we need 1 Chinese version of the game to get onto this new market where we have never published games so far. 2 + 2 + 1 = 5. 5 = 2+3. 23!
You don’t understand Chinese. Of course you don’t, neither do I! You need letters from the Latin alphabet. Latin is a 2nd foreign language taught in many German secondary schools. English is, of course, the 1st. Tobi has a slight advantage, because his wife, Bao, is from China and was able to help out with the logo. Christian is doing the programming for Blown Away. That makes 2 Pants working on the game. 2nd language, 1st language: 21. Plus 2 Developers: 23!
Some Chinese eat dogs. Some don’t. People are different. Even more so, if the Country has a population of almost 1.4 billion. Hendrik has 1 balloon in this screenshot from a cutscene with 1 dog. Some dogs eat balloons. Some don’t. There’s at least 2 kinds of dogs in that regard. Hendrik had 1 house before the stupid wind took it away. 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 6. 4 and 6. 46. 46/2. 23!
Shush, you guys! This is not a joke! Something serious conspiracy is going on here. Lock you doors, I am begging you. Also keep an eye out for an awesome announcement blog a little later! Be prepared!
That’s it for this week. See you soon!
