Aloha, friends of the sunny pants!
It is time for the weekly development update, as we are riding on the latest heat wave, hitting Germany. High temperatures are, of course, a hot topic (eh eh) in On Rusty Trails. While Elvis and his peeps like it hot and dry, the Hairy ones are not as pleased.
A few weeks back, we had some party signs and Stamm left some more of those, before he went on vacation to Portugal with his old lady.
This is the counterpart to the cheering Spike party sign. It will be set in an environment where Elvis needs to be in his natural form, thus being unable to join the festivities. That is a real pity, because I hear the Hairy ones make some delicious piña coladas!
This sign right here is more geared towards Elvis’ nature. As mentioned before, Spikes love the heat and if you think they are splashing around in water, you are dead wrong. Behold, one of the famous lava pools of the Spike world! The Spike on the billboard is neglecting one of the most important rules, anyone with half a brain knows: Always check for Spikes in jumping distance! Second rule: No fried junk before you jump into the pool, eat some health food instead!
Side note: Thinking about the sign made me really sad, because I realized Spikes will never be able to cannonball into the pool…where is the fun in that?!
And here we have the actual scene in the game. Some Spikes are just chillin’ in the pool, although I am not quite sure if “chillin'” is the right choice of word here. These pools are a great way for Spike People to swim and get some exercise, since I can’t see them doing yoga with those creaking joints. I also imagine these pools quite invigorating for Spikes. Most of the house factory workers probably have season tickets to escape their routine, after a long day at the assembly line.
OK folks, this is it for this week. Today’s weather forecast shows some thunderstorms, so don’t get caught in the rain!CHAMPAGNE!
